Island Smoothie Cafe is a family owned and operated business located in the Corolla, Harris Teeter Shopping Plaza. Corolla has always been a special place for our family. Our roots were planted in the early 70’s when our grandparents bought land and built one of the first houses in Ocean Sands. I can still remember the sandy dirt roads and endless bare sand dunes that we would explore and find old ship wreck remains.
It wasn’t long ago when my brother and I became addicted to our Vitamix blenders. We were amazed that a healthy smoothie could be so good. And we couldn’t believe that we could get almost all of our daily fruits and veggies in one delicious and refreshing morning smoothie. The fresher the fruit, the sweeter the taste. This is why we don’t use any artificial sweeteners in our creations. There is nothing better than North Carolina strawberries and blueberries. And our peaches…they quite possibly could be the best you’ll ever have!
At Island Smoothie, we have created a menu and atmosphere that is designed to be as unique as the northern shores of the Outer Banks. From our amazing Acai bowls and smoothies to our signature sandwiches and salads you simply won’t find anything like Island Smoothie. All of our dishes, including our sauces and dressings are made daily in our kitchen.
